End of Key Stage 2 & 4 Re

Just as all other fourteen year olds start courses of study which lead to external accreditation, so do our young people at Sandgate at QKS. All pupils have an equal entitlement to have their achievements acknowledged in this way, and the school runs not only entry level courses (English, Maths, Science, ICT,). The John Muir conservation award is also taken.

In the 6th form, some pupils are able to take level 1 qualifications, for example in Hospitality and Catering, or the Bronze Arts award, and entry level functional Literacy and Numeracy courses, and participate in either a sailing or sea kayaking residential expedition each year.

Swimming awards are taken across all age groups, from early Dolphin awards for water confidence, through to Amateur Swimming association (ASA) awards
