End of Key Stage 2 & 4 Re

For many years now, the school has hosted an inclusive holiday activity club, during each school holiday. It is run by the Kendal Drop-In-Centre, with support from Barnados, and is open to children and their families who attend Sandgate School or other schools in the local area. A wide range of trips out and other activities are organised to keep children interested and safe during the holidays. A small charge is made to cover expenses. Further information for the school holiday ahead is on the Parents page, within the Kendal Drop-In-Centre Newsletter. There is also a Saturday Club at the school, details from Shirley Gilpin c/o Kendal Drop-In-Centre.

A Sunbeams music session is held on the second Saturday of every month between 10 and 12. Parents with their children of any age can come along to hear this talented group of musicians, committed to the development of musical enjoyment for children with SEND, present familiar songs and musical activities. Parents can come along for all or part of a session. There is no charge.
After school and lunch time clubs are held across the year, covering a wide range of interests. Current clubs cover Art, Gardening, Signing and Book Club at lunchtimes. After school clubs include Lads club, Girls club, Theatre club, and Rebound therapy. All clubs rely heavily on the goodwill and expertise of staff, and it is a sign of their commitment that these sessions, providing valuable opportunities for informal interaction, continue to flourish.
