Governors

The governing body (GB) consists of the Head, one staff, 2 parent, one local authority (LA) and 7 co-opted governors. Elections are held for the staff governor every 2 years. Other governors have a term of office for 4 years. Many choose to continue after this time. They provide vital, objective support to the school.

A meeting of the full governing body is held each half term. Additionally, the Building, Finance, Staff + Pay (BFS+P) and School Policies, Monitoring & Information (SPMI) Committees meet at specified times throughout the year.

Anyone interested in becoming a school governor should contact the school for more information.

All pupils entering the school from September 2014 will have an Education, Health and Care Plan which states that they have severe or profound learning needs. Pupils must meet this criteria to be admitted to the school. Admissions to the school are agreed by the Local Authority.
