Residential experiences away from home and family, provide a valuable opportunity to learn and grow. For the very youngest children, those opportunities can be found in trips into the community, and educational visits further afield. From key stage two onwards, our aim is to provide a residential experience relevant to the needs of each student at each key stage.

The school has regularly used the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust in Cheshire, the Conway outdoor education centre on Anglesey, local sailing ventures, and kayaking in Scotland, and other  locations to achieve these aims.

The school has a charging and remissions policy for any family unable to meet the costs of residential provision. Pupils who receive the Pupil Premium can opt to use this to cover residential costs, as can any 6th form pupils who receive a mandatory or discretionary  bursary for sixteen to nineteen year olds.
