Fells

The Fells class is a key stage 4, Lakes pathway class. Fells students follow the National curriculum adapted to meet the individual needs of the students. The three focal points of our curriculum are ‘Life Skills’, ‘Academic and Knowledge’ and ‘Education for Living’ which help prepare our young people for adulthood.

Where pupils have particular interests and strengths, they have the opportunity to attend QKS lessons and study towards GCSEs. Students work towards entry level functional skills qualifications in English, Maths and Science as well as learning about the world around them through PSHE, theme and Art. We also develop our independence through attending a local gym and are a very active class.

Working alongside traditional lessons we also explore more the world of work, work experience and life skills. We have secure links with many local businesses and venues allowing us to put into practice the life skills developed in the real world.
