Helvellyn

Helvellyn is a Key Stage 4, SEAS pathway class. Helvellyn students strive towards achieving the ASDAN Transition Challenge award which covers 18 areas of learning, including Maths, English and Science. Students are supported to work within their own Personal Progression Pathways through individualised plans and a functional and meaningful thematic and multi-sensory curriculum. 

Our holistic curriculum encompasses everything our students need to understand the world around them more effectively. We focus largely on communication, independence and developing lifelong learning skills to support them in preparing for adulthood. 

Helvellyn students love being out in the community, embedding their learning and developing their social and communication skills. We aim to provide a range of experiences for our young people, including work experience, community days, shopping, cafe trips, listening walks and much more! We believe learning should be fun, creative and most importantly, shared and celebrated with our peers and local community
